Douglas- Angela D. “Angie” (Profitt) Loehr, 46, passed away peacefully on Fri., Nov. 9, 2018 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, after becoming suddenly ill.
She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Matthew C. Loehr; her 2 adored sons; Connor F. Loehr, and Colin M. Loehr all of Douglas; her loving parents, Ken and Terry (Myers) Profitt of Dallas, GA; her sister Sara Vacek; her newest nephew and niece, Beau and Callie Vacek all of Long Lake, MN; her maternal grandmother, Mary Root of Monroe, OH; her mother-In-law, Helen G. Loehr of Dalton, MA; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brother & sister-in-laws, and a lengthy list of amazing friends.
Angie was born on Jan. 2, 1972 in Middletown, OH and grew up in Springfield, VT. She graduated from Springfield High School class of 1990, where she collected many friends that remained throughout her life. She continued her education graduating from Johnson State College, Johnson, VT, where she majored in Sociology, and minored in Psychology. Upon completion, her desire to have a positive impact on the world and community blossomed.
Astonishingly, Angie began a career at Fidelity Investments where she met her husband Matt. In 2000, they set roots in Douglas, MA and began their family. Her endless energy to positively impact the community, and school resulted in Angie working for the Douglas School District, where she was a Paraprofessional for the past 7 years. Nothing was more important to Angie than the students and staff of Douglas, which were conveyed by her dedication to help build a new school.
Angie advocated passionately for breast cancer and completed 3 Avon Breast Cancer walks with Team Boobie Patrol, and 1 Susan G. Komen walk. She could always be found cheering on her sons at their baseball and soccer games. Angie always wanted to be a wife and mother and her proudest and most beloved achievement was the family she and Matt built. She radiated joy, light, empathy, warmth and love. We will miss her infectious laughter, warm hugs, welcoming smile, and humble grace. Her affection was legendary, and her simple acts of compassion embodied humility.
A Celebration of Angie’s Life will be held Sat., Nov. 17, 2018 at 11am. in the Cornerstone Church, 5 Hartford Ave E., N. Uxbridge conducted by Pastor Jamie Walton, a longtime family friend. Burial will take place at a later date. Matt, Colin, Connor and the rest of Angie’s family, I’m so sorry and can only imagine what you are going through. Angie was truly one of the nicest most genuine person ever. I can still hear her voice and her infectious laugh. I have so many happy memories with her- cookie swaps and other parties and nights out, Kenney concerts, beach, lake, soccer games. She recently made her crack cocaine crackers especially for me for one of my parties. Sorry I never returned your Tupperware Ange. She was also recently there for me during a tough time as usual. Love and miss you more than you can imagine. Suzanne Gualtieri

Colin and Connor:
Your mom was a tremendous person. I knew her long before you two were born and throughout your lives, and nothing gave her more pleasure than being a mom to both of you. Although your lives have taken on a different direction of tackling life without her physically with you, I know she created a foundation for both of you to succeed as you move into adulthood. She will watch over you, be there with you, and be proud of the young men you are the men you will become. Cherish your memories, keep in touch with family as I know that was so important to Angie. And give your dad a hug once in awhile when he least expects it. As you get older you will realize the importance of that.
Matt, my friend, my heart has been heavy since we spoke. I was there when you and Angie met and she told me shortly after that she had found the man of her dreams. You were a solid husband, and are an active father. Let the grief wash over you for as long as you need, but remember that the boys now look to you for the guidance and wisdom of two. A heavy weight to carry but I know of no other man that can succeed in this task.
Both Jeanne and Denelle both send their prayers to you and the boys. Both Jacob and I are always here for you three.
Have faith and belief that your path, although different than the one you imagined, is lined with beautiful events and the memory of Angie will be with you always.
We love you and your family and are always a phone call away.
JT and Jacob

Mr. Loehr, Connor & Colin,
It's been some time since I've visited with you 3, however I bumped into your mom/wife about 9 months ago with my son and fiance. THE MOST PLEASANT SURPRISE! Angie was a wonderful woman and I was lucky enough to get to know you all better through The Children's Workshop and babysitting Connor & Colin, some time ago. My heart is so so heavy. Thinking of you during this unimaginably difficult time. Continuous thoughts to you and your family.

Matt and family,
I was extremely saddened to hear the news of Angie’s passing. Some of the many wonderful memories I have from Fidelity were because I had a chance to work with Angie. Her smile was contagious and will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to you all. Angie will be missed by so many.
