Uxbridge- Dorothy A. “Dotty” (Berry) Munhall, 89, formerly of Elm St., passed away on Tues., April 9, 2024 at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab after a period of declining health. She was a resident the past 6 years.

She is survived by 8 children, Lawrence Munhall and his wife Daphne of Hopedale, Steven Munhall and his wife Mary Jo of Fredericksburg, VA, James Munhall and his wife Mary of Goldsboro, NC, Maureen Tancrell and her husband Philip of Kossuth, PA, Pauline Labrecque and her husband Robert of Douglas, Patricia Ambrosino and her husband Robert of Uxbridge, Cynthia A. Bounds of Uxbridge, and Katherine Munhall of Webster ; son in law, Peter Bedrosian of Whitinsville many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; a brother, David Berry of Worcester, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Francis Kiley in 1956; her second husband, Lawrence Munhall in 1986; her daughter, Deborah Bedrosian in 2021; grandchildren, Rebecca Perez, and Timothy Ambrosino; great- grandson Steven Labrecque Jr., and 10 siblings, Harold Jr., Richard, Donald, Roger, Benjamin, Edward, Charles “Arnold”, Dennis, and Gerald Berry; and sister, Gladys Chilleri.

Born in Holden on June 10, 1934 Dotty was the daughter of Harold J. and Viola R. (Sheard) Berry and grew up in Holden and attended Holden Public Schools. She worked in the meat dept. at the former Philips Market, and in textiles for Waucantuck Mills, Spalco Corp. in Grafton, and Stanley Woolen Mill in Uxbridge. A very religious woman, she was a lifelong member of Valley Chapel where she taught Sunday School, was a Nazarene Caravan Leader, and sang in the choir. She was a police matron for Uxbridge Police, a drum corps chaperone, and fixed figure and voice at all her son’s baseball games growing up. Dotty loved crocheting and always gave pregnant woman she knew baby sweaters. She also enjoyed bowling with her daughters and in leagues in the former Sparetime and Python Bowling alleys. As a senior living at Centennial Court she loved walking the Canal tow path from Stanley Woolen to River Bend Farm. She will be remembered for her quick wit, good nature, and great sense of humor.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 11 AM in Valley Chapel, 14 Hunter Rd. Uxbridge. Private burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uxbridge will be at a later date.
