Phyllis T. (Roy) Duhamel, 80, of Crown and Eagle Apartments died Fri. July 24, 2020 after a short illness. Her husband Joseph N. Duhamel Jr. died in 2005.
     She is survived by her son Keith J. Duhamel; 2 grandchildren David J. Duhamel and Benjamin M. Duhamel; and was predeceased by a son Jeffrey D. Duhamel in 2009. Born in Whitinsville, MA on Feb. 28, 1940 she was raised and lived in Whitinsville 43 years. She then lived in Ohio and Pennsylvania before moving to the Crown and Eagle Apartments Uxbridge in 2007. She loved the social setting and her lifestyle in the early years at Crown and Eagle.
     Mrs. Duhamel worked for 27 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Emergency Room at the former St. Vincent’s Hospital and at St. Camillus Nursing Home. She then had a second career for 25 years as a Dental Assistant, retiring in 2007. She was a graduate of Northbridge High School, Class of 1957 and later from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing.
     Over the years Phyllis traveled the world with her husband and son. Always talented, she crafted beautiful cross stitch and needlepoint items and volunteered at the Northbridge Food Pantry.
     According to her wishes there are no services planned. A cremation followed by a scattering in Bermuda, one of her favorite places will take place at her family’s convenience.
