Linwood- Wilma G. (Gould) Carrier, 92, passed away on Mon. May 21, 2018 at Beaumont Nursing & Skilled Rehab. Center, where she had been a resident the past 9 years, after an illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Armand J. Carrier in 2013.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Baker and her husband Robert of N. Uxbridge; 2 grandchildren, Timothy and his wife Katrina Baker of Northbridge, and Amy Beth Villarreal and her husband Robert of Boston; 4 great-grandchildren, Robert and Gracie Baker, and Christian and Sebastian Villarreal; 2 brothers, Clayton A. Gould of New Orleans, and Willis Gould and his wife Barbara of Worcester, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son David Carrier, and was sister of the late Donald Gould, Robert Gould, Ruth Jacques, and Irma Guertin.
Born in the Rockdale section of Northbridge on March 31, 1926, she was the daughter of Donat and Florence (Tetreault) Gould and grew up and lived in Northbridge until her marriage to Armand where she then moved to Linwood. Primarily a homemaker, Wilma loved spending time with her cherished family. She was a woman of great faith, who was very involved in her church. She enjoyed music, dancing, and trips to the beach. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Church.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Tues. May 29 at 11am in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St., Uxbridge, burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, where her husband Armand will also be buried.
