Douglas/ Uxbridge- Wendy A. Wasiuk, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 after being stricken ill.
Wendy is survived by her brother, Marc Perkins; 2 children, Megan and Julian Ramos, as well as many good friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her mother, Carol L. (Keeling) Perkins in April of 2023.
Born in Worcester on February 20, 1966, she was daughter of the late John George Wasiuk. Wendy was raised in Douglas and was a graduate of Douglas High School. While pregnant with Megan and working full time, Wendy attended night classes to become a Registered Nurse. She did it all while making the Dean’s list.
Wendy enjoyed going to the beach, swimming, jogging, hiking, fishing and was a fan of all sports. Her favorite place to be was by the ocean and she purchased a home on Martha’s Vineyard. Wendy had a green thumb and could grow anything as if she were a horticultural genius. Her love of travelling and sense of adventure always made her seek out new experiences. Wendy’s children were the loves of her life and she adored spending time with her family and friends. She will be sorely missed by anyone whose life she touched. May Wendy rest in peace.
