Whitinsville- Theresa B. (Vallee) Ampagoomian, 93, of Providence Rd. passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Milford Regional Hospital after a period of declining health. Her husband of 59 years Harry Ampagoomian, died February 17, 2012.
She is survived by a son Christopher N. Ampagoomian of Whitinsville; a daughter Alice M. Sabourin of Riverdale; a sister-in-law Valerie Vallee of Mendon; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her son Harry Ampagoomian Jr. prececeased her on September 29, 2017. She was also sister of the late Albert Vallee Sr, Norman Vallee, Eva Allega, and Anita Bilodeau.
Born in Whitinsville on January 15, 1932, Theresa was the daughter of Pierre J. and Alice (Levasseur) Vallee and lived here all her life. Mrs. Ampagoomian serving her community, owned and operated with her husband, the Linwood Garden Center in Whitinsville over 40 years. There, she designed and created fruit baskets, gifts, and baked goods, specializing in her peach pies. She had a creative eye for arranging flowers for special occasions, weddings, and funerals. She was an active member of the former Good Shepherd Church in Linwood. Theresa was also a longtime member of the Daughters of Isabella group, and also sang with her husband Harry in the Blackstone Valley Heritage chorus Group.
Following cremation, a memorial Mass at St. Mary Church in Uxbridge will be said in her memory at a future date. Burial will be with her husband Harry in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
