Suzanne Veau Obituary

North Uxbridge- Suzanne M. (Handfield) Veau, 73, passed away peacefully on Thurs., Sept. 28, 2023 aside her loving family after a period of declining health.

      She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert W. Veau; her 3 children, Paul Veau and his wife Missy of Falmouth, Sherry Trahan and her husband Eric of Uxbridge, and Christopher Veau and his wife Emily of Orange, CA; 6 grandchildren, Dylan Veau and his fiance Betty Gould, Savannah Veau, Tyler Trahan, Branden Trahan, McCartney Veau, and Indy Rose Veau; 2 great- grandchildren, Anna Veau, and Cole Veau, and a brother, Kenneth Handfield of Kentucky.

      Born in Whitinsville on June 9, 1950 she was the daughter of Emile and Margaret (Dejordy) Handfield and grew up in the Linwood section of Uxbridge. She was educated from Good Shepherd School, and graduated from Uxbridge High School. Sue worked many years for the Big D Grocery Store, and also for the Katinganer Hat Shop. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and watching her favorite Soap Operas on TV. A great homemaker, she enjoyed staying home and cooking, spending time with her family and especially treasuring time spent with her grand and great- grandchildren. 

      The family would like to extend a special thank you to Salmon Health Care for all their compassionate care and kindness shown to Suzanne and her family.

      As to her wishes, Suzanne will be cremated and her family will celebrate her life privately at their convenience.
