Steven Craig Nordstrom, 58, of Somerville (previously of Douglas), died unexpectedly on January 27, 2023 at home. Born June 3, 1964 and raised in Holliston, MA. He was a son of the late Edgar Valentine Nordstrom and the late Donna Kathryn (Kimpel) Nordstrom.
Steve was a graduate of Holliston High School and later attended drafting school. A highly skilled carpenter, Steve could build anything and loved to work with his hands. He went on to join the Carpenters Union Local 475 where he was a member for 28 years, retiring as a Construction Supervisor. Steve oversaw countless construction projects throughout the Greater Boston area. During family outings, Steve would take great pride in pointing out to his family the various projects he worked on.
In his spare time, Steve enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed an occasional Boston Red Sox game, concert or riding his Harley Davidson. During retirement, Steve became an avid scuba diver. He loved traveling to exotic places, such as Mexico, Fiji and Cambodia, “where the water is at least 80 degrees or warmer!” Social and friendly, Steve made friends wherever he went. Steve was generous and humble. He will be deeply missed.
Steve is survived by his son, David A. Nordstrom and his fiance Erica Stevenson of Dudley; his daughter Michelle L. (Nordstrom) Sullivan and her husband Sean Sullivan of Lincoln, RI; his beloved grandchildren: Makayla Nordstrom, Sean Sullivan, Jr., Connor Sullivan and Brooklyn Nordstrom; his sister Susan (Nordstrom) Guest and her husband Vincent Guest of Readsboro, VT; his brother Matthew Nordstrom and his wife Liz Nordstrom of Portland, OR; along with his beloved nephews Noah and Luke Nordstrom.
