Auburn- Scott D. McCallum, 51, formerly of Douglas, died unexpectedly on Monday June 27th at his home.
He is survived by four children, Dylan McCallum and Samantha McCallum of Rutland, Brooke Favuzza of Northbridge and Seth McCallum of Auburn; a granddaughter Madisyn McCallum of Rutland and grandson Landen Favuzza of Shrewsbury; his mother and father Monica (Yacino) and David McCallum of Douglas; a brother Travis McCallum and his wife Erica McCallum of Sutton and a sister Kacey Bush and her husband Douglas Bush of Oxford; five nieces and nephews Cassandra McCallum and Coady McCallum of Sutton and Bradley Bush, Lucas Bush and Carter Bush of Oxford. He leaves behind several uncles, aunts, and cousins, including Jason McCallum whom he considered his brother, and many good friends. He was loved by many and will be missed by many more.
Scott graduated from Blackstone Valley Regional Technical High School in 1988 . For 31 years he installed hardwood floors and his ability to transform a space with his craft and make it beautiful was unparalleled. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and no one outdid him in creating a good campfire. His happy place was high in a tree stand that no one else dared to climb. Scott could captivate anyone with his stories and had a way of making people laugh so hard that they cried. He was a man who loved his family fiercely and will be forever missed.
