Douglas- Scott J. Campo, 60, of 13 West St. Riddlebrook Apartments passed away on Sunday July 23, 2023 after a long illness.
He is survived by his mother Yvette M. (Bilodeau) Campo of Uxbridge; 2 sisters Pamela M. Vierstra of Webster and Lisa M. Marengo of Jacksonville, FL; 3 nieces Nicole Vierstra, Tammy Marengo Greer, and Carley Fifield; a nephew Anthony Marengo and his wife Mandy; great nephews Jacob Zayas, Isaiah Zayas, Jayden Martinez; great nieces Madison Marengo, Ariana Marengo, Avery Obuchowski, Mya Fifield, and Samantha Greer; and several cousins. Born in Whitinsville, MA on February 9, 1963 he was son of the late Kenneth J. Campo and lived in Douglas since 1980. He was raised in Whitinsville and was educated in the Northbridge public school system.
Mr. Campo worked many years as a painter for Duclos Painting and Fresh Start Painting. He loved following the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, and NE Patriots. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed both fresh and saltwater fishing and loved hunting. He was a kind man who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be missed by his family and friends.
His graveside funeral service at St. Patrick’s Cemetery will be held at the family’s convenience. There are no calling hours. Donations in Scott’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army 207 Riverlin St. Millbury, MA 01527. Salvationarmyusa.org.
