Uxbridge — Sara Jane (Bradford) Slack, 76, of Kasey Court, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 6, 2026, following an illness.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Michael B. Slack, along with many nieces, nephews, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Brian A. Slack, in 2006, and by her siblings, George, Dana, and Carol McNeil, Ronald Bradford, Marcia Feinberg, and Barbara Creamer.
Born in Natick, Massachusetts on February 18, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Sarah (Benedict) Bradford and was raised in Natick. She graduated from Natick High School with the Class of 1968.
Sara had lived in Uxbridge for the past 13 years. Earlier in life, due to her husband’s military career, she lived in several states, including New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. While primarily devoted to her role as a homemaker, she held a variety of positions over the years, including real estate secretary, switchboard operator, and hotel front desk clerk. She also generously volunteered her time at the Museum of Science and History in Corpus Christi, TX,
Sara enjoyed many creative pursuits, particularly crafting, jewelry making, and ceramics. She and her husband enjoyed dancing and, over the years, took lessons together, learning both square dancing and line dancing. Wherever life took them, they also enjoyed joining local bowling leagues and making new friends. She was an avid birdwatcher and dog lover and leaves her four-legged companion, Penny.
Sara will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother, a kind-hearted and generous woman with a wonderful sense of humor who made friends easily wherever she went. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
