Samantha E. Brown

Millbury- Samantha E. Brown, 39, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at home after being stricken ill. 

       She is survived by her husband Mathew Brown of Millbury; her mother Edith A. “Edie” Vinson and her husband Kent of Douglas; her father, Thomas J. Cardwell of Millbury; 5 siblings, Apryl K. Cardwell and her fiancé Luis Zayas of Millbury, Cody J. Cardwell of Millbury, Zachary T. Cardwell of Millbury, Seth L. Cardwell of Colorado Springs, CO, and Ethan M. Cardwell and his wife Cecilia of Surrey, B.C; her maternal grandmother, Ruth Boyda of Worcester; 3 nieces, Sienna Rose, Freya Primrose, and Kendra Azalea; 2 stepbrothers, Jack Vinson of Stanford Springs, CT, and Samuel Vinson of Whitinsville; her beloved 4 legged companion Lillie, and several aunts, uncles, and her cousin Brittany Davis- Nishan, and many good friends including her best friend Taya Whaley of Millbury, and co-workers. She was predeceased by her brother Todd W. Cardwell in 2021, and her beloved dog Dutchie.
        Born in Worcester on September 2, 1985 Samantha grew up in and was educated from the Auburn Public School system. Samantha worked for U.S. Postal Service as a mail clerk in their Shrewsbury facility for the past 13 years, where she made many friends. Sam was a people person, she was a happy soul and had great energy that could brighten any room. Bubbly and fearless, she loved getting dolled up and going out, especially for sushi and a mai tai. She was a music enthusiast who loved old-school hip-hop and rap music. She loved spending time with her family and will be sorely missed for her fun-loving spirit and joking demeanor.

        Calling hours for Samantha will be held on Saturday, November 9th from 4-7 PM in Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 12:30 PM. Due to her great love for animals, donations in her memory may be made to Dog Orphans, PO Box 767, Douglas, MA 01516.
