Ruth F. DeFusco

Uxbridge- Ruth F. DeFusco, 95, formerly of Uxbridge passed away on Fri. Aug. 4, 2023.

     She is survived by 2 nephews Andrew J. DeFusco and his wife Caroline of Lutherville,  MD, John P. DeFusco and his wife Michele of Yarmouth, ME; 3 nieces Andria M. Nemeth and her husband Jeff of Ramsey, NJ, Mary E. Weith and her husband Joe of Burlington, VT and Chrissy M. DeFusco of Newburyport, MA; and 14 great nieces and nephews along with 12 great great nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Joseph and Andrew DeFusco and siste-in-law to Elizabeth DeFusco.

     Born in Methuen, MA on Aug. 25, 1927, she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Doody) DeFusco and lived most of her life in Uxbridge, MA. A 1945 graduate of Uxbridge High School, she also graduated from Bryant University’s Executive Secretarial program. Ruth was a longtime Administrative Assistant at multiple firms. She then became a teacher’s aide, working with young children at Pakachoag Acres in Auburn. She worked into her 80’s, retiring in in 2013. She had been a resident of the Brookhouse Home in Salem for 10 years. 

She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church where she sang in their choir. Ruth loved to learn. She enjoyed her family, singing, music, swimming, and children.

     Her funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday August 8th at 11:30AM in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge will be held prior to Mass from 10-11AM.
