North Uxbridge- Rosemary (Creighton) Marshall, 98, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home with her loving family at her side, after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Alfred Marshall, who died in 2008.
She is survived by her children John Marshall and his wife Margaret of Whitinsville, Eileen Sestito and her husband Joseph of Franklin, and Kate Marshall of N. Uxbridge, with whom she lived; 4 grandchildren, Michael Marshall Jr., Morgan Marshall, Andrew Marshall, and Matthew Marshall; 6 great- grandchildren, Adeline, Logan, Ireland, Parker, Caden, and Adrienne; her sister, fondly known as “Baby”, Ann Lowney of Blackstone, with whom she would chat on the phone with each night and end with “Good night sweetheart”; her sister-in-law, Alice Creighton, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Michael Marshall in 2014; her grandson Thomas Marshall in 2021, and was sister of the late Morgan “Bucky” Creighton, Maureen Prior, and John Creighton.
Born in Milford on March 15, 1928, Rosemary was the daughter of John and Mabel (Sharkey) Creighton and was a lifelong resident of Uxbridge. She worked as a Spinner for the Bachman Uxbridge Worsted Woolen Co., and also for the Stanley Woolen Mills. After retirement, she enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox, and loved spirited conversation with her grandson Andrew, who fondly called her ma-ma. She also enjoyed FaceTime calls with her great-grandson, Parker. She enjoyed anything Irish, and had fond memories of her trip to Ireland. She was an avid reader and her favorite author was Maeve Binchy, an Irish novelist.
A lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church, she sang in the choir and was known for her beautiful singing voice. From the young age of 13, and under the guidance of Mrs. Como, her first solo was “Alice Blue Gown” in the Uxbridge High School Auditorium, where she first met her future husband, Alfred. She will be sorely missed by her adoring family.
