Uxbridge- Rosanna “Rose” (Manzo) Hudon, 99 formerly of Millville Rd. passed away Mon. Dec. 4, 2023 at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab. Her husband of 61 years Roger E. Hudon died Feb. 17, 2003.
She is survived by 2 sons Paul A. Hudon and his wife Kathy of Douglas, and Anthony N. Hudon and his wife Ellen of Uxbridge and Mashpee; 2 daughters Sandra M. Lemire and her husband Gerald of Uxbridge and Debra Hudon and her companion Mike Branowicki of Thompson, CT; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her son Ronald R. Hudon died in 2018 and she was brother of the late Alton Manzo, Sam Manzo, Margaret Olson, Mary Johnson, Pauline Manzo, and 2 infant brothers. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Donna Hudon. Born in Uxbridge, MA on Aug. 8, 1924, she was the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Corkan) Manzo and lived in Uxbridge most of her life. She had been a resident of Blackstone Valley Rehab the past 4 years.
Primarily a homemaker, Rose was active, caring for and raising her family. For 50 years she was the Regional Representative for Avon Beauty Products in the Blackstone Valley as well. She was successful in this role, receiving their President’s Award year after year.
Mrs. Hudon was fun, outgoing and social. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling in the Sparetime League, being around her family, and taking trips to the casino with her friend Rita. She was a member of St. Mary Parish and their former Daughters of Isabella where she served as a Regent. She was a member and Past President of the Uxbridge Women’s Club.
Her Funeral will be held Sat. Dec. 9 with a Mass at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours at St. Mary’s Church, 71 Mendon St. will be held from 8:30 to 10 am prior to her Mass.
