E. Wareham- Ronald Anthony Santosucci Sr., 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 28, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his daughter Linda Ellis and her husband Ronald of Uxbridge; his 7 grandchildren, Jacob Peters of Uxbridge, Ricky Saunders and his wife Scottie of Worcester, Angelique Schutz of Grafton, Alicia O’Brien of Auburn, Gina Santosucci of Worcester, Caitlyn Ellis and her fiancé Micheal Johnson of Uxbridge, and Faith Ann Ellis of Uxbridge, as well as many great- grandchildren, and good friends. He was predeceased by his only son Ronald Anthony Santosucci Jr. in 2023, and 2 grandchildren, Amanda Elizabeth and Daniel Joseph.
Born on April 21, 1941, in Bangor, ME, Ronnie grew up and was raised in South Boston, where he had many fond memories. He resided in E. Wareham the past 6 years, previously living in Randolph, Franklin, NH, Oxford, and Millbury. He was educated at South Boston High School, class of 1959. At the young age of 17, Ron enlisted in the United States Navy, and served 4 years aboard the USS Wasp during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1962 as a Signalman, Third Class. He was proud to have served his country and to have fought for freedom.
Ron worked as a truck driver for many area companies, including Red Star Express in Shrewsbury, Railway Express Agency, and Dohrn. He also owned and operated Central MA Marine Transport in the 80’s. A talented B3 Organ player, Ron played in many great bands over the years including Tito Mambo and the Voodoo Men, and the Beach Combers. A man of many skills, Ron could fix most things. He was skilled in the areas of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. In his younger years, he enjoyed roller skating and ballroom dancing.
Mr. Santosucci’s Funeral Service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at promptly 12:15 pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA,.
