Northbridge- Ronald N. Lesco, 91, of Kelly Rd. passed away peacefully at his home on Sat. Nov. 23, 2024 after an illness. His wife of 55 years Mary D. (McGuinness) Lesco died March 5, 2013.
He is survived by a son Kevin F. Lesco of Northbridge; a daughter Linda N. Lesco also of Northbridge; 4 grandchildren Jennifer M. Lesco, Tyler J. Lesco, Adam M. Lesco, and Zachary E. Ramsdell; 2 great grandchildren; his sister Priscilla (Lesco) Korzeniowski of Attleboro; several nieces, nephews; and his rescue dog Chewey. He was predeceased by his son James M. Lesco who died July 2, 2020. He was also brother of the late Wayne G. Lesco who passed in 2012. Born in Whitinsville on Sept 6, 1933, he was the son of Alfred and Blanche (Gregoire) Lesco and lived in Northbridge all his life.
A hard worker, Ron was an electrical engineer at General Electric Co. in Ashland many years. He later was employed as a letter carrier for the Northbridge Post Office in Rockdale. He also managed several apartment buildings in Rockdale, doing electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Good with his hands, he could fix anything. He learned these skills working with his dad from a young age.
A 1951 graduate of Northbridge High School, he furthered his education at Boston University where he studied electrical engineering. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in Pusan, South Korea. His hobbies included mowing his lawn, keeping up his yard, tinkering around, and fixing things.
His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 7 at 11 am in St Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St. Whitinsville. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
