Uxbridge- Roger C. Bachand, 80, of Blackstone St. passed away on Fri. April 30, 2021 at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab after a period of declining health.
He is survived by 2 sisters Catherine Heroux of Rhode Island, and MaryAnn Farrell of Washington; his brother Harvey Bachand of Uxbridge; and many nephews and nieces including Julie Isabelle with whom he lived and helped care for him over the years. He was brother of the late Marguerite Boisvert, Elizabeth Miller, Edward Bachand, Paul Bachand, Albert Bachand, and John Bachand. Born in Uxbridge, MA on Nov. 2, 1940 he was the son of George H. and Mary C. (Kuczek) Bachand, and lived in Uxbridge all his life.
Educated in Uxbridge schools, Roger worked at Bernat Yarn Co. in their Maintenance Dept. for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days but more recently he enjoyed a nice meal and watching a good television program.
Roger was a sweetheart who was loving, kind, and funny. He loved his family and was very close to his brother Harvey. He will be sorely missed by everyone who got to know him. from Worcester for their kindness and support shown to Roger during his illness.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 5 at 12 noon in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service from 10am to noon.
