Robert Urban Obituary
Whitinsville- Robert J. Urban, 67, of Lake St., passed away on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at UMass Hospital in Worcester after a long illness.
He is survived by his five children Ellen Dinger and Elizabeth “Lissy” Urban both of Fayettville, Arkansas, Christopher Urban, Joshua Urban, and Alicia Urban all of Whitinsville; his wife Melanie (Ebbeling) Urban of Whitinsville; 5 grandchildren; two brothers John Urban and James Urban; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Charles “Chuck” Urban and an infant sister Ellen Urban. Born in Waltham, MA on January 1, 1957 he was son of the late Adolph C. and Marguerite E. (Loomer) Urban.
Mr. Urban worked in Quality Control for several companies over the years including Johnson and Johnson. He was a religious man who gave his family the gift of faith. He enjoyed playing cards and board games, music, and even managed his brother’s band in his younger days. Family was most important to Robert however. He will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
