Robert Francis Del Negro of Centerville, 87, died peacefully Tuesday, November 2, 2022.
He was born to the late George and Blanche Del Negro on March 15, 1935 in Worcester, MA.
Bob was a service member of the United States Air Force and a Veteran of the Korean War.
Bob married the love of his life Ruth Elizabeth Crothers Del Negro in 1958 and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii where he became a Math Teacher for a local High School.
They returned back to East Douglas in 1959 to start their family. Bob began his college studies and he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bridgeport University.
They lived in East Douglas for many years until they moved to Cape Cod to be close to their family and especially their 3 grandchildren. Ruth and Bob loved their children and grandchildren with their whole hearts.
Bob and Ruth were married for 56 years until Ruth passed in 2014. There was not a single day that he did not miss her.
Bob was the epitome of a model Christian man. Bob was the most loyal and devoted Husband and Father and would do anything to ensure the safety and success of his family until his last day on this earth. He devoted himself to the Christian lifestyle and has inspired his family to do the same. Bob set the bar so high and was the example for all to follow.
Bob was a highly respected and valued Mechanical Engineer for the one and only company he ever worked for - Fabreeka Products Company out of Boston, MA. Bob retired in 2002 at the age of 67. Fabreeka Products Company had a 100 year celebration in which Bob received the honor of "Employee with the Biggest Impact to the Company". Representatives from the company gave a 20-minute presentation on all his past accomplishments.
Bob is survived by his three sons: Mark and Joan of Centerville, Jonathan and Deborah of Hyannis and David and Sandra of Cotuit. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Seth Robert, Emily Ruth and Wyatt Cleland as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
