Sutton- Robert F. Davis Jr. passed away peacefully on Sun, Nov. 7, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a period of declining health.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Ann (Goyette) Davis; his step sons, Darren Senecal and his wife Virginia of Whitinsville, and Blaine Senecal and his wife Theresa of Whitinsville; 6 grandchildren, Desiree, Bruce, Phaedra, Evangeline, Joseph and Kaitlyn; 4 great- grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born in Worcester on April 22, 1944, he was the son of Robert Davis Sr. and was a life-long resident of Sutton. He attended Sutton schools and started working as a steeplejack at a young age. A hard-working man, he was employed as an industrial painter, painting oil tanks and bridges, and as a ferrier servicing horses. In 1982, Robert bought his father-in-law’s business and started RFD Small Engine Repair that he owned and operated for many years. Robert was a jack-of-all-trades. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed making beautiful cutting boards out of wood, and collected train sets, constructing the tracks and miniature villages himself.
Robert’s services will be privately and held at the convenience of his family. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852. To leave a condolence message for his family please visit: www.Jackmanfuneralhomes.com
