Born in Uxbridge on March 3, 1941, he was the son of the late Alton and Rita (Palmieri) Brooks and remained a lifelong resident of the town. Following high school, Mr. Brooks proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1959 to 1962. He was stationed in Germany and attained the rank of Specialist Fourth Class upon his honorable discharge. Upon returning home, he began a long and dedicated career with General Motors Corporation in Framingham, where he worked for 25 years until his retirement in 1991.

He was a lifelong member of the Uxbridge Rod & Gun Club and also held memberships with the Whitinsville Fish and Game Club and the Wallum Lake Rod & Gun Club. He had a passion for gardening, taking pride in cultivating both flowers and vegetables, and generously shared his harvest with family and friends each year. He was also a devoted patron of Wright’s Chicken Farm, where he enjoyed bi-weekly visits with his wife and family for many years. Above all, Bob was a devoted family man who treasured time spent with those he loved.
