Obituary

Uxbridge - Robert L. Brook, 56, of Uxbridge, MA passed away at home on Fri., Feb. 3, 2017 with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 28 years, Diane (McLaughlin) Brook, his beloved children, Jennifer L. Brook of Worcester, Robert D. Brook of Somerville and Matthew F. Brook of Uxbridge. He leaves behind a brother, 2 sisters and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was the son of the late Dr. David L. Brook and Raymondé (Coté) Brook.
He grew up in Cranston, R.I. and was a graduate of WPI in Worcester where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bob worked for Raytheon for the past 10 years upgrading missile defense systems all over the globe. He also worked for Perini, Honeywell, and APC. Bob had many passions including spending time with his family on Snow Pond in ME, taking great care of his cars, astronomy, trains, building and fixing things, traveling, boating, and kayaking.  He always had a smile on his face, a story to tell, and a project to conquer with a work ethic like no other. He was known for his relentless, positive “Can Do” attitude and had a gentle charisma that drew people to him. He always gave 100% and accomplished anything he set his mind to. He was a role model to many throughout his life and illness. Bob always felt he had a guardian angel with him in life. Our hopes and prayers are that his angel will be by his side in heaven. We will forever love and miss you Bob.
