Obituary
Whitinsville- Robert A. Briand, 73, of Linwood Ave., passed away on Thurs. May 5, 2022 at Umass Medical Center in Worcester after a period of declining health.
He is survived by his partner of 36 years, Linda (Bain) Pettengill, and her children, Jeffrey Larivee of Whitinsville, Robin Johnson and her husband Charlie of Northbridge, and their children Melody and Christopher, Holly Robertson and her husband William of Whitinsville, and their son Liam, and Frank Pettengill and his wife Jennifer of Framingham.
Born in Worcester on August 2, 1948 he was son of the late Arthur and Rita (Roy) Briand and grew up in the Linwood section of Northbridge. He was educated from Good Shepherd school and graduated from Northbridge High School. Bob worked many years as a dispatcher in the trucking industry. He was also a EMT and volunteer Firefighter for the town of Northbridge for many years. He was a lifelong parishioner of Good Shepherd Church in Linwood.
Bob was an avid reader, and a classic movie buff, who also took pleasure in scenic car rides, and traveling with Linda all around New England.
