Douglas- Robert Allen Allard, 75, of Laurel Glades passed away on January 5, 2023 at UMass Hospital in Worcester after a period of declining health.
He is survived by his brother Allen Allard of Uxbridge, his niece Fawn Marie Allard and many wonderful cousins and neighbors, and his dog Ellie. He was predeceased by his nephew Jamie, and a close friend Donald Carpenter.
Born in Providence, RI on July 12, 1947 he was the son of Valdore and Irene (Manosh) Allard. Bob was raised in the Manchaug section of Sutton, and was a Sutton high school graduate. Robert went on to study radiology at St. Vincent’s Hospital and then worked for many years at Milford Hospital, and then Whitinsville Hospital.
He enjoyed socializing and having friends come visit him and the companionship of his dogs over the years.
His memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 1 PM in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial calling hours in the funeral home will be held prior from 11:30- 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to: Dog Orphans, PO Box 767, Douglas MA 01516.
