Uxbridge- Rita L. (Brochu) Radzik, 89, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Weds. Dec. 21, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Webster Manor Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Charles B. Radzik; 5 children, Dennis C. Radzik of CA, Michael A. Radzik of Brookfield, Paul L. Radzik of Thompson, CT, David B. Radzik of Sutton, and Donna M. Harper of Worcester; 10 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Richard Brochu, Roland Brochu, and Ernest Brochu; 2 sisters, Lorraine Duso and Claire Longton; and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Henry Brochu and Germaine Kloczkowski and was predeceased by a grandson Jonathan Radzik.
Born in North Uxbridge, MA on August 24, 1933 she was the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Poudrier) Brochu and lived in Uxbridge many years. Primarily a homemaker, caring for her children and husband, Rita worked for Information Services Inc. in Whitinsville and Uxbridge once her children were older. After their retirement she and Charlie’s moved to Florida where they lived for 28 years, before moving back to Uxbridge in 2017.
A woman of faith, she was a founding member of Corpus Christi Parish and was a member of Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine both in Florida, where she volunteered many years as a sacristan and Eucharistic minister. As a cantor she had a beautiful voice and sang at many weddings and funerals over the years. Her most cherished loves were her Lord, husband, children, grandchildren and her mother.

Her Funeral will be held on Wed. Dec. 28th at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery will be at a later date. Calling hours at Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. are Wed. Dec. 28 from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
