Uxbridge- Rita M. Lepage, 99, of East Hartford Ave., passed away on Sat. Dec. 10, 2022 at Milford Hospital after a period of declining health.
She is survived by several loving nephews and nieces and extended family. She was lovingly referred to as “everyone’s aunt.” She was predeceased by her sisters Cora Robidoux, and Theresa Montville; and her brothers Arthur Lepage and Philip Lepage. Born in Uxbridge on January 20, 1923, she was the daughter of Philip and Florence (Catineault) Lepage and grew up in Uxbridge. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School and worked many years for Worcester Envelope. She was a longtime Uxbridge resident.
She was a very special woman, very kind, loving and thoughtful. She had a quiet demeanor, lived a simple life and had a heart of gold. She looked forward to family gatherings and holidays and every year made her famous fruit cakes. Her famous saying was “Things could be better… but they could be a lot worse.” She was a woman of great faith and a former member of Good Shepherd Church and recently St. Mary’s Church.
Rita’s funeral will be held on Sat., Dec. 17th at 11am with a mass in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to mass from 9:30-10:30 AM in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge.
