Rita B. (Desrosiers) Lefevre

Whitinsville- Rita B. (Desrosiers) Lefevre, 89, passed away Mon. July 31, 2017 after a period of declining health, at Wingate at Hampden Nursing Center in Hampden MA. She is survived by her loving husband Herbert T. Lefevre of 68 years. She is also survived by her son Paul Lefevre and his wife Donna of Wellington, FL, her daughter Joyce Boucher and her husband Kenneth of Southampton, MA; 6 grandchildren; Jennifer Lefevre and her husband George, Michelle Joyce and her husband Corey, Christopher Lefevre and his wife Alison, Eric Boucher and his wife Debra, Gregory Boucher and his wife Jennifer and Jeffrey Boucher and his wife Erin, 5 great-grandchildren; Molly Joyce, Liam Joyce, Henning Fenzell, Allison Boucher and Emily Boucher, 4 brothers: Leo Desrosiers of Somerset, MA; Albert Desrosiers and his wife Carm of Enfield, CT; Roland "Pete" Desrosiers and his wife Natalie of Swansea, MA; Gene Desrosiers and his wife Magaret of Tyngsborough, MA; and a brother in law George Souza of Fall River. She was preceded in death by; her daughter Janet Lefevre in 2016, her son David Lefevre in 1979, and her sister Jeannette Souza in 2011.

Born in Fall River, on November 29, 1927, she was the daughter of Leo and Laurea (LePage) Desrosiers. She was a devoted mother, wife and sister who loved people.  Her family was her pride and joy.  She was a great cook and enjoyed her career as the head of the Balmer School cafeteria for over 20 years where she cared for each child as if they were her own.

As to her wishes, Rita will be cremated and her services will be privately held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: St Patrick's Church, 1 Cross Street, Whitinsville, MA 01588.
