Richard "Rudy" Bergeron

Richard “Rudy” Bergeron Sr., 74, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Richard is survived by his children Richard Bergeron Jr. and wife Betsy Brooke of Ashby, MA, and Sandra Nason of Fitchburg, MA; 4 grandchildren, Abby, Emily, Jéan, and Mikayla; his siblings, William Bergeron of Woonsocket, RI, Beatrice King and her husband Larry of Douglas, Albert Bergeron of Millville, Therese Dion of Grafton, Dorothy Thompson and her husband Stirling of Whitinsville, David Bergeron and his wife Kathy of Whitinsville, and Joseph Bath and his wife Sheila of Talladega, AL, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Doris Chippo, and Ronald, Leo, Raymond, and Ernest Bergeron.

Born in Uxbridge on July 25, 1951 he was the son of William G. and Florence (Courteau) Bergeron and was raised in Douglas. Richard was a hard-working and beloved father who previously worked for Miller's Paving in Lunenburg and Jiffy Lube in Leominster for several years. He volunteered at the local food pantry, “Our Fathers Table” in Fitchburg for many years. He was a collector of M&M and Looney Tunes memorabilia. An avid country fan, he enjoyed listening to country music and watching old Western movies. His favorite job he ever had was as a rodeo rope trickster. Richard is now in the big rodeo in the sky with his family, and he will always be loved and remembered.

His graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at 1:30 PM in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Granite St., Uxbridge.
