Uxbridge – Richard M. “Rick” Dodge Jr., 77, of Centennial Court, formerly of Nashville, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Blaire House of Milford.
He is survived by his three sons: Bruce Dodge and his wife Erica of Providence, RI; Brian Dodge and his partner Jamie of Grafton; and Brent Dodge of San Francisco, CA;, and a grandson, Brandon Dodge of Idaho. He also leaves his sister, Marsha Evans and her husband Walter of Whitinsville; his nephew, Matthew Tefft of Whitinsville; two nieces, Ericka Tefft-Davis of Whitinsville and Alyssa Oyola of Northbridge; and his best friend, Steve Dixon of Nashville, TN.
Born in Montague, MA, on February 2, 1948, Rick was the son of the late Richard M. Dodge Sr. and Veronica (Hooper) Dodge. He was raised in Lancaster, MA, and Middlebury, VT. Rick lived in Nashville for forty years before moving to Uxbridge in 2018.
Mr. Dodge was employed as a millwright for Continental Machinery Company in Nashville for over ten years. He was a graduate of Middlebury Union High School and the Auto Diesel Technical School of Nashville, Class of 1967.
Rick was an avid clock designer and builder and also enjoyed constructing and flying handmade kites. During his forty years in Nashville, he formed many lasting friendships and valued his close-knit community. He had a love for country music and Nashville’s honky-tonk music venues.
In accordance with his wishes, Rick will be cremated, and his cremains will be scattered in Nashville. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Dog Orphans, Inc., P.O.
