Linwood- Richard J. “Noonie”  Morin, of Union St. passed away suddenly, on Sun. Sept. 19, 2021 after being stricken ill in Little Falls, NY.

     He is survived by his sister Nancy Harper of Warren, RI; a nephew Jim Harper of Warren; 2 nieces Donna Hooker of E. Greenwich, RI, and Diane Lherbier in France; and many good friends and race buddies. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Carl Harper in 2017. Born in Whitinsville, MA on Aug. 4, 1946 he was son of the late Wilfred J. and Muriel M. (Bentley) Morin and lived in the Linwood section of Northbridge all of his life. 

     Noonie owned and operated Hardware Supply Warehouse and Parts Wholesale Company the last 15 years. Previously, he worked as a salesman for Kar Products, a national wholesaler for 25 years. In his younger years, he managed Punjab's, a local Whitinsville bar. His passion however was Grass Drag Snowmobile Racing. He owned 6X Morin Racing, and enjoyed all the aspects of producing high horsepower, finely tuned (badass), racing snowmobiles. He also loved spending time with his friends in Florida at Westgate River Ranch. He was educated in the Northbridge school system. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Swerve, a Mine Sweeper, in the Caribbean Sea. 

    His funeral will be held Fri. Sept. 24 at 11 am in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St. Linwood. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whitinsville. Calling hours at Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge are Thurs. Sept. 23 from 5 to 7 pm.
