Uxbridge- Richard R. “Dick” Isabelle, 86, of William Ward St. passed away Mon. Sept. 13, 2021 at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab where he had been a patient the past 2 ½ years. His wife of 60 years, Pauline A. (Rutana) Isabelle died in 2018.
He is survived by his son Stephen W. Isabelle and his wife Maria of Holden; his daughter, Susan M. Isabelle of Uxbridge; grandchildren Stephen Jr. and his girlfriend Brianna Droddy, Jonathan, and Jenna Isabelle; his sister, Jacqueline Blair of Uxbridge; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Marie Campo. He was brother of the late Lorraine Leblanc, and Gerald Isabelle.
Born in Linwood, MA on Feb. 12, 1935 he was the son of Willie and Edouilda (Dion) Isabelle and was a lifelong resident of Uxbridge. Mr. Isabelle worked as a Plant Manager for O.S. Walker Company in Worcester 40+ years, retiring in 2008. He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army. Always athletic, he loved playing softball and belonged to several leagues over the years. An avid golfer, he played all over New England at different courses. A huge Boston sports fan, he could be often found in front of the television watching the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics, he never missed a game. He was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church. He loved to spend time over the years with his family pets, Chanel, Isabelle, and Walker.

His funeral will be held on Thurs. September 16 from Tancrell Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. with a Mass at 11:30am in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home in Uxbridge are prior to mass on Thurs. from 9- 11am.
