Rebecca J. (Boucher) Strom

Linwood- Rebecca J. (Boucher) Strom, 73, of Providence Rd,, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 in her home peacefully. 

         She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dewayne L. Strom; her 3 children Eva Thurber and Jessica Thurber both of Linwood, and Dewayne Strom Jr., of N. Uxbridge; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Donna, and Christopher Harris, Adrianna Belanger, Samantha Pasquino, and Craig Belanger Jr.; 12 great grandchildren whom affectionately called her Meme; 3 siblings, Gloria Ross of Uxbridge, Gary Boucher Sr. and his wife Karen of Douglas, and Jerry Boucher and his wife Linda of Warner Robins, GA;. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as great friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Georgiann Harris, and was sister of the late, Francis Boucher Sr., Alphonse Boucher, and Richard “Dick” Boucher.

         Born in Northbridge on February 7, 1952 she was the daughter of Francis H. and Aurore (Boisvert) Boucher and was a lifelong Uxbridge resident. Rebecca was employed at Walmart in Whitinsville for 10 years, retiring in 2014. Previously, she had worked at Potpourri in Whitinsville and Tredegar Corp. in Grafton until its closing. 

         Educated in the Uxbridge School System, Rebecca was an avid reader, especially enjoying Stephen King and Danielle Steele novels. She also loved crafting, playing solitaire, watching Science Fiction programs on TV, and was a big Elvis Presley fan. She was a great cook, and liked to finish a delicious meal with ice cream. She will be remembered as a selfless person who would do anything for anyone.  Above all, she was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother who adored her family. 

         As to her wishes, Rebecca will be cremated, and her family will celebrate her life privately.
