Phyllis worked briefly in Uxbridge and Framingham before marrying Gerry in 1954 and becoming a caring and selfless mother to her five children. Phyllis enjoyed many years in her home and spent lots of hours tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching the games with Gerry. Phyllis also enjoyed many years of playing golf after raising her children. As a member of Pine Ridge in Upton, then Saddle Hill in Hopkinton and finally Green Hill in Worcester, she played couples golf with Gerry and their good friends Cindy and Fred on the weekends. During the week Phyllis played in two women's leagues, Worcester County Women's Golf Association and Women's Golf Association of Massachusetts, travelling to many golf courses around the state. Phyllis got a hole in one at Shaker Farms in Westfield, Massachusetts and was proud of her accomplishment. She was a very active member of these women's leagues and made many friends along the way. Phyllis was also a member of St. Patrick's Church and served alongside her husband as 1st Co-Chair couple for Family Life from 1967-1972.
