Phyllis M. (Gagne) Bernardini

Pascoag- Phyllis M. (Gagne) Bernardini, 73, passed away on Fri., Dec. 29, 2023 peacefully at her home aside her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. 

      She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Eugene A. Bernardini; 3 children, Joshua Bernardini and his wife Renee of Riverside, RI, Nathan Bernardini and his wife Brandy of Woonsocket, RI, and Daniel Bernardini and his significant other Vera of Norton, MA; 5 grandchildren, Riley, Haleigh, Gabriella, Elijah, and Octavia, and 2 step-grandchildren whom she loved as her own Bowie and Bellany; 2 brothers, Robert Gagne and his wife Imelda Carrion of California, and Marc Gagne and his wife Christine of Nashua, NH.

      Born in Woonsocket on May 6, 1950 Phyllis was daughter of the late Roland and Jeannette (Lauzon) Gagne. She was a graduate of St. Clare’s High School in Woonsocket and furthered her education at Roger Williams University where she attained a Master’s in Education degree. Phyllis worked as a second-grade schoolteacher for 14 years and even taught English classes in Germany. She also worked in the corporate offices for CVS Pharmacy and Tupperware. She retired in 2017.

      A woman of great faith, Phyllis enjoyed studying the bible and praying often. She attended services at the Awakening Church in N. Smithfield, and the Cornerstone Church, Valley Chapel, and Faith Fellowship Churches all in Uxbridge. She also enjoyed homeschooling her children when they were young and helped to put together curriculums for her daughter-in-law to homeschool her grandchildren. She adored her grandchildren and treasured times spent with them. She will be remembered as a lovely woman who always greeted with a smile on her face. She was well-loved by all. 

      Her celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the Cornerstone Church, 5 East Hartford Ave., Uxbridge MA 01569.
