Peter McNamara

Uxbridge- Peter McNamara, 73, formerly of Granite St., passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Webster Manor Health Care Center in Webster, MA.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (McNamara) Willey and her husband Bruce of Greenwich, CT; his brother, Jack McNamara of Framingham, MA; his niece, Elizabeth Willey-Smith of Newton, MA, and his nephew, John Willey of Rye, NY, along with their families, as well as many other friends and family members who adored him.

Born in Providence, RI on September 17, 1950 Peter was son of the late John and Kathleen (Burke) McNamara and was a lifelong Uxbridge resident. He was a graduate of St. John’s Prep School in Danvers, MA class of 1968, and of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA class of 1972. 

Peter worked as a teacher at Whitin Middle School in Uxbridge. He was a devoted reader, who could speak intelligently on many topics and current affairs. He was also an avid New England sports fan. Peter was a kind man who cherished his family, was a wonderful friend, and selflessly always put others first. He deeply appreciated his friendships with the staff at Webster Manor, who were exceptionally kind to him over the past 6 years.
