Douglas- Pauline M. (Casey) Ballard, 96, passed away on Sun. July 4th 2021 at Blackstone Valley Health & Rehab where she had been a resident the past 6 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Marcel W. Ballard who passed away in 1999.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie Bourgeois of Upton; a son, William U. Ballard and his wife Arlene of Douglas; 5 grandchildren, Jeannette Paine of Upton, Michelle Richard of Freeport, FL, Shawn Ballard of Providence, RI, Lauren Barabas of Princeton, and Katarina Earley of Spencer; 10 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, David M. Ballard also in 1999.
Born in Millville on March 9, 1925 she was the daughter of Irene Casey and was a lifelong resident of Douglas, Pauline worked as a spinner for the former Hayward Schuster Woolen Mills. After retirement, she had also worked in numerous area malls in sales with her daughter Marie. She enjoyed puzzles, jigsaw and crossword, playing cards, and cooking. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, and also loved watching old TV shows especially those featuring John Wayne. She was a kind-hearted woman who will be sorely missed by her family.
Pauline’s services will be privately held at the convenience of her family.
