Uxbridge – Patricia (White) Morrissey, 82, of Queen of Roses Lane, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Blackstone Valley Health and Rehab., after a period of declining health.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John J. Morrissey, Sr.; a son, John J."Jack" Morrissey Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Uxbridge; 3 daughters, Jennifer Saladino and her husband, Gary of Voorhees, NJ, Julie Morrissey of Shrewsbury, and Jessica Luhtjarv and her husband, Matthew of Merrimack, NH; 6 grandchildren: Sean, Adam, Avery, Maegan, Ethan, and Aidan; siblings, Kevin White, and his wife, Donna of AZ, and Elizabeth White-Jaffe of Scottsdale, AZ. She was predeceased by six siblings, Marion Ernst, Peter White, Claire Feener, Virginia Downey, Eileen White and William White.
Born in Somerville, MA on September 2, 1941 Patricia was the daughter of William and Mary (Flaherty) White and grew up in Somerville. She was a graduate of Somerville High School class of 1959. She furthered her education taking courses in accounting and business and worked several years in accounting for State Street Bank. She also worked many years as Budget Manager for the Plymouth Superior Court before retiring.
She enjoyed spending time in Florida on Marco Island and in Naples, where she and Jack liked to play golf. An avid reader she was also a talented sewer and quilter, and she loved flowers and gardening. She was a very well-rounded woman who had an eye for detail. A woman of great faith, she was a former member of the Good Shepherd Church and recently St. Mary’s Church.
Patricia ‘s funeral Mass will be held on Weds., July 31st at 11 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Prior to Mass, a calling hour will be held in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
