Uxbridge- Patricia A. (Carmody) Geoffrey, 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Blackstone Valley Nursing and Rehab. after a period of declining health, surrounded by her loving family, and after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by 3 children Jerry Geoffrey of Grafton, Christopher Geoffrey of Whitinsville, and Jessica Lenahan of Blackstone; 2 grandchildren, Abigail Lenahan and Kristie Labrecque; a sister, Ruby Leclaire and her husband Jim of Sutton, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by an infant daughter Dawn Marie Geoffrey, and her brother James Carmody III.
Born in Milford on August 13, 1951 Patricia was the daughter of James A. and Susan (Seagrave) Carmody and grew up in Milford. She was a graduate of Milford High School class of 1968. Mrs. Geoffrey worked as a hospice driver for the Seven Hills Foundation in Worcester, where she retired in 2020. Previously she had worked many years for the Target in Milford and Comtran Cable in Northbridge. She had been a resident of South Grafton the past 9 years.
She enjoyed crocheting, every year making beautiful hats and blankets to give as treasured gifts to her family and also donating them to the homeless. She was a kind and thoughtful woman who made sleeping mats out of plastic bags for the homeless, she did this for many years and it gave her much joy. She was a selfless woman, who would help anyone. She loved spending time with her family and was an amazing mother. She will be sorely missed.
Patricia’s funeral service will be held in Tancrell- Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge on Tuesday, February 6th at 11 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Monday, February 5th from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Center, 20 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757.
