Uxbridge- Patricia J. (Allega) DiRienzo, 83, of Blanchard Ave., passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 after period of declining health at Blackstone Valley Nursing and Rehab. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, John J. “KooKoo” DiRienzo, on January 16, 2025.
She is survived by her 3 children, John J. DiRienzo Jr., of Jacksonville, NC, Anthony B. DiRienzo and his wife Stacey of Douglas, and Cynthia Ann Harris of Uxbridge; 3 grandchildren, Jack, Alexis, and Nathan; a sister, June Bergeron and her husband Edwin ”Moe” of Uxbridge, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John E. Allega, who died in 2018.
Born in Uxbridge on November 7, 1941 she was the daughter of John J. and Beatrice (Normandan) Allega and lived in Uxbridge all her life. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School Class of 1958. Primarily a homemaker, caring for her husband and children, Patricia worked as a lunch lady for Uxbridge Public School system, and the former Philip’s Market in Whitinsville.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling, seeing many beautiful places including Mexico and the Carribean, and spending time at their condo in Fort Myers. She enjoyed reading, and was an avid pet lover, especially her dogs, Toby, Thomas, and Tucker. A woman of faith, she was a longtime parishioner of the former Good Shepherd Church.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:30 in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service from 9-11:30.
