Uxbridge- Norman G. Dubois, 84, of Hazel St. died on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at his home, after a period of declining health. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Murielle R. (Blais) Dubois who died in 2016.
He is survived by a daughter Celeste R. Dubois of Oak Ridge, TN and a son Gregory A. (Kerry) Dubois, Sr. of Uxbridge; 6 grandchildren; Samara Osbourne (Richard), Kathleen McBride, and Conor McBride (Annessa Duncan) of Oak Ridge, TN and Tessa Dubois, Ty Dubois, and Gregory Dubois, Jr. of Northbridge, and many great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lorraine Brunelle of N. Smithfield, Ri, and Claudette Coughlin of Woonsocket, RI, and Darlene Parker, of Fairhope, AL as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Roger Dubois.
Born in Grafton on June 1, 1940, he was the son of Lionel Dubois and Aline (Gariepy) Amarant. He has lived in Uxbridge for the past 63 years. Mr. Dubois worked as a machinist for Waltham Parker—Hannifan Co. for over 35 years.
He was an avid gardener, who had many beautiful flower and vegetable gardens throughout his yard. He was also very handy, and enjoyed woodworking, customizing his home and making so many beautiful furniture pieces over the years. He specialized in making birdhouses, many of which were more like hotels. He also took pleasure in Wii bowling, which he did with his cousins. He was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Uxbridge.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
