Michael Richard Trottier

N. Providence- Michael Richard Trottier, 61, previously of Woonsocket, passed away on Thurs. October 5, 2023 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence after a period of declining health.

         He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn C. (DeFoe) Trottier; 4 children, Tristan Trottier and his wife Laurel of Uxbridge, Rebecca Hayes and her husband Robert of Woonsocket, RI, Andrew Trottier of N. Troy, VT, Nicholas Trottier and his wife Tara of Lincoln, RI; his mother, Frances (Roukema) Trottier of Whitinsville; 3 sisters, Regina Boucher and her husband David of Uxbridge, Donna Desjardin and her husband Ronald of Uxbridge, and Jo-Ann Minior and her husband Michael of Whitinsville; 5 grandchildren, Colton, Rose, Gavin, Raelyn, and Tuqkalah. He is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and several good friends. He was predeceased by his father Richard E. Trottier and sisters, Christine Hutchinson and Cheryl Ann Crosby.

         Born in Whitinsville on November 15, 1961 Michael was raised in Uxbridge and attended Uxbridge primary schools, and later graduated from Blackstone Valley Technical High School class of 1980. He was currently working as an Electronic Technician for EMC Technologies out of Fall River where he had been employed the past 8 years. Previously he had worked many years for Rypos in Franklin.

         Michael enjoyed travelling and cruising, especially to the Carribbean Islands and also enjoyed vacationing in New Hampshire and Vermont. He was an avid reader who enjoyed reading SCIFI novels. The light of his life were his family, and he especially cherished his 5 grandchildren. He was a good man and will be sorely missed by his family.

         Calling hours for Michael will be held from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville on Tuesday, October 10th from 4-7 PM. A prayer service will take place at 7 PM. Following cremation, burial will take place on October 21st at 10AM in North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
