Michael P. Sullivan, 66, of Pleasant Street, Paxton, Massachusetts, died Thursday, October 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Born on April 4, 1959 in McLean, Virginia, Michael was the son of Daniel and Mary Louise (Stephenson) Sullivan. He lived in various parts of the country while his father was employed by the U.S. Public Health Service, eventually returning to the Sullivan family home on Turner Street in Auburn, Maine, in 1975. There, he participated in programs at the Social Learning Center in Lewiston. He subsequently moved to Massachusetts, near his brother, and had been a resident of the Paxton House from 2002 until his death.
Loving family survivors include his remaining siblings, Kathleen L. Gano of Brunswick, Maine; Nancy M. Gallant of Brunswick, Maine; Timothy D. Sullivan of Douglas, Massachusetts; and Patricia S. Doyle of Waterville, Maine; as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He is predeceased by his devoted parents and by his sister Margaret J. Squires of White Stone, Virginia.
His funeral Mass will be held in St. Philip Church, 2365 Turner Rd., Auburn, ME on Thursday, November 13that 11 AM. His cremation burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, 81 Mount Hope Ave., Lewiston, ME.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the EcoTarium in Worcester, Massachusetts, – a science and nature museum that also runs a small train ride that Mike loved.
