Whitinsville- Maureen A. (Roche) Labrecque, 67, formerly of Whitinsville passed away Tues. Jan. 16, 2024 after a period of declining health.
She is survived by 4 daughters Amanda Brochu of Bellingham, Holly Labrecque in Texas, Lisa Labrecque and Michelle Leone both of New Harmony, Indiana; 6 grandchildren Alex Roche Medina, Madison Nyenhuis, Mason Flynn, Anthony Martin, Thomas Hilditch, and Paul Hixson; a great-grandson Jaiden Amiro Roche; her sister Karen J. Nyenhuis and her husband Paul of Oceanside, CA; her brother Timothy M. Roche of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Heather Marie Kalpajian who died in 2022. Born in Worcester, MA on May 10, 1956, Maureen was the daughter of Thomas A. and Phyllis A. (Contois) Roche. For the past year and a half she lived in Salisbury with her cousins Janie Perkins and Raymond Roche, where she received great love and care from the whole Perkins family. She was raised in Whitinsville and previously she lived in New Harmony, Indiana and Milford, MA.
Mrs. Labrecque worked as an Advertising Executive for the Blackstone Valley News Tribune in their Whitinsville office. Before this she was employed for Bernat Yarn Co. in Uxbridge and Pressed Wheel Co. in Grafton. She was a graduate of Northbridge High School, Class of 1974 and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, puzzles, and words with friends on Facebook. She loved long rides, dining out, sunbathing, the beach, and occasional trips to the casino. Maureen was grateful to her many friends on Facebook as well. They kept her spirits up throughout her illness.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Wed. Jan. 24, 2024 at 10:30 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St. Whitinsville. Calling hours at Jackman Funeral Home 12 Spring St. Whitinsville are Tues. Jan. 23 from 4 to 7 pm. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Lung Assn. Box 756 Osceola WI 54020-0756 Lung.org.
