Mary D. (O'brien) Gardner

Uxbridge- Mary D. (O’Brien) Gardner, 69, of Calumet Ct. passed away on Thurs. Nov. 11, 2021 after a period of declining health.

          She is survived by her 3 daughters, Jill M. Lenahan and her husband Shawn of Fredricksburg, VA, Kerri E. And her husband Robert Lavoie of Northbridge, and Leigh A. Gardner of Harrisville, RI; 4 grandchildren, James Lenahan, Adam Lenahan , Ethan Lavoie, and Grace Lavoie; a step-brother, Arthur O. DuBois Jr. and his wife Susan of Uxbridge; a step-sister, Sandra Hartnett of N. Smithfield; and many nieces and nephews including Sam, Annie, and Joseph DuBois, and Ben and Katy DuBois, whom with she shared a special bond. She was predeceased by step sisters Michele Amaral and Patricia Degre, a step brother, Michael DuBois, and a half-brother, Albert DuBois.

     Born in Uxbridge on Jan 6, 1952 she was the daughter of Eileen V. O’Brien, and was raised in Uxbridge by her mother and stepdad Arthur O. DuBois Sr. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, Class of 1970.

     Mary worked many years in administration for PFPC Financial Group in Westborough. Previously she worked in the Cafeteria at Uxbridge High School. She was proud of her daughters and grandchildren and loved attending their sporting and extra events. Mary was skilled in knitting and crochet, and belonged to local groups. She was always giving away the hats, mittens, baby blankets that she crafted. 

     Her graveside funeral service will be held Tues. Nov. 23 at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Granite St. Uxbridge.
