Uxbridge- Marie Therese “Terry” (Royer) Bingham, 85, passed away on Mon., Oct. 31, 2022 at Milford Hospital after a period of declining health.
She is survived by 2 children, Karen Thomas of Uxbridge and Christopher Bingham of Sarasota, FL; 4 grandchildren, Anastasia Snook of Biddeford, ME, Joshua Bingham of Sarasota, FL, Tyler Bingham of Pascoag, RI, and Beau Bingham of Milford, MA; 4 great-grandchildren, Drew, Jake, Chase and Ensley; step grandchildren, Shannon Bush, Sean and Daniel Studd of TN, Dawn Hart of NY and Julian Thomas of Ayer; her brother, Charles Royer and his wife Madaline of Millbury; sister-in-law Carol Bingham of Spring Hill, FL and daughter-in-law Robin Bingham of Milford, MA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Lawrence H. Bingham in 1999, her son Matthew Bingham in 1996, her granddaughter Lindsey Polzin in 2017, and siblings, Gilbert Lepage, Rita Blaine and Harvey Royer.
Born in Whitinsville, MA on Dec. 28, 1936 she was the daughter of Charles and Maria (Lamontagne) Royer and grew up in the Linwood section of Northbridge. After graduating from Northbridge High School she joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Jay, NY, where she was a skilled typist and clerk, and where she met her future husband. After her military service she lived in New York on Long Island before moving to Uxbridge with her family in 1971. She worked for the State of Massachusetts Unemployment office until she retired.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, painting landscapes, taking walks at West Hill Dam and Blackstone River Heritage Park, and attending her bible study group at Good Shepherd Church.
Her graveside funeral services will be privately held by her family in Vernon Grove Cemetery, Milford at a later date. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
