Margaret A (Jorgensen) Reese

Northbridge- Margaret A. “Peg” (Jorgensen) Reese, 91, passed away on Fri. February 25, 2022 at the Lutheran Rehab. and Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester after a long beautiful life.

            She is survived by her son, Darrin A. and his wife Krissy Reese of Chelmsford; 7 grandchildren, Alicia Grose, Allison Reese, Krystal Fantasia, Russel Gilbert, William Gilbert, Amanda Trudell, Brandon Trudell, Kira Trudell, and Michael Trudell; 7 great-grandchildren, Victoria Foster, Kendall Gilbert, Nathan Gilbert, David Grose, Lilly Grose, Ava Grose and Rose; 2 sisters, Lillian Ley and Nancy Owyby both of Richmond, VA, and many nieces and nephews. Peg was predeceased by her children Darlene Trudell, and infant David Reese, and by her grandson Kenneth Foster. She was sister of the late June Smith, Fred Jorgensen, and Judy Grose as well. 

Born in Geneva, NY on Feb. 15, 1931 she was the daughter of Elmer S. and Hermine (Stuart) Jorgensen and previously lived at the School Street Apartments for 10 years, and before that she resided in Bellingham and Millis. Raised mainly in upstate New York, Peg’s ex husband served in the military, so she lived in many places after getting married. 

   Mrs. Reese was the head cook for Medvale Nursing Home in Medfield for 35 years. She also loved children and was a babysitter over the years. Affectionately known as ‘everyone’s mom’, Peg loved telling jokes, occasionally dirty jokes, and spending time with family and friends. She was an excellent baker and often showed her affection to family and friends by baking up delicious cookies and cakes. She will be forever remembered for her tremendous sense of humor, and her warm loving nature.

     Margaret’s memorial calling hours will be held from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville on Saturday, March 26th from 5-7 PM. Her burial will take place in Seneca Falls, NY.
