Uxbridge- Marcelle (Jacques) Landry, 80, passed away on Thurs., Jan. 20, 2022 at the Lydia Taft House where she had been a resident the past 5 years.
She is survived by a nephew, Ronald Picnia and his wife Deb of Holland, MA; 2 nieces, Apryl Picnia of Weymouth, and Jennifer Bonati and her husband John of Uxbridge; a great-niece Ashlee Picnia of Holland; 3 great-nephews, Nate DeLuca of Weymouth, and Jesse and Jason Bonati both of Uxbridge. She was predeceased by her sister, Pauline Picnia in 2020, and her beloved cats Buster & Foxy.
Born in Milford on Dec. 12, 1941 she was the daughter of William R. and Loretta A. (Guertin) Jacques and grew up in Uxbridge attending Our Lady of the Valley School, and graduated from Uxbridge High School, Class of 1958. She continued her education attending the Salter School where she was certified in Office Administration. Marcelle worked many years for Rikutec America Inc. in Whitinsville where she held numerous positions including Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President.
Marcelle was an amazing singer. She sang in the choir at Good Shepherd Church for many years, was a member of the Blackstone Valley Community Chorus, and the Messengers singing group in Millbury. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Church where she served on their Bereavement Ministry.
Her funeral will be held on Tues, January 25 at 11 AM in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to Mass from 9-10:30 AMin Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge.
