Northbridge- Marc Steven Deane, 64, of Dorchester, formerly of Northbridge, passed away on Sun. Sept. 19, 2021 in Carney Hospital after a long illness.
     He is survived by his mother Louise M. (Carter) Deane of Eastham; his father Marcus J. Deane of Northbridge; a sister Catherine Brochu of Northbridge; 2 brothers Jeffrey J. Deane of Whitinsville and Sean Deane of Medford; and several nieces and nephews.
      Born in Worcester, MA on Aug. 12, 1957,  Marc was raised in Northbridge and graduated from Northbridge High School in 1975. Always an academic, he earned degrees from Cape Cod Community College, Suffolk University, and attended both the University of MA and John’s Hopkins University. His field of study was economics and he actually interned in Prague for F.W. De Klerk, who ended racial segregation in S. Africa. 
     Always an avid traveler, he toured all of Europe as well as Africa. As a young adult he bicycled from Massachusetts to California and lived there several years. He was outgoing, social, and fun. Marc will be remembered for his intelligence, his love of adventure, his sense of humor, and his love for his family.
     According to his wishes,  a Celebration of Marc’s Life will be announced at a future date. Burial in Riverdale Cemetery, Providence Rd., Northbridge, will be held on Sat. Oct. 16th at 2pm. To leave a condolence message for his family please visit: www.jackmanfuneralhomes.com
