Uxbridge- M. Anne (Murray) McLaughlin, 78, passed away Fri. Dec. 2, 2016 after an illness.
She was born in Milford on May 7, 1938, the eldest child of William F. and Christine F. (McKee) Murray and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1956. Upon her marriage to her husband of 47 years, the late William J. “Mac” McLaughlin, she moved to Uxbridge where she lived for many years.
After working at the Dennison Co. in Ashland, she became a homemaker and volunteered as a Girl Scout leader. She was well known as a talented painter, creating treasured gifts for her many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter M. Christine McLaughlin, many nieces and nephews including Tess Murray Howard, with whom she was especially close. She also leaves many dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Timothy S. McLaughlin, her sister Catherine (Murray) Howard, and her brothers William F. Murray, Jr. and James Murray.

Her funeral will be held from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge on Thurs. Dec. 8 with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Wed. Dec. 7 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the Worcester County Food Bank, 474 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
